Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) was retained by the Village of Barrington to improve access to the Metra Parking lot. The Village of Barrington was able to secure STP funds for the construction of a new signalized intersection along US Route 14 (Northwest Hwy) to serve the Metra parking lot. As part of the improvement, the full access at Klingenberg Lane would be restricted to a right-in/right-out access with all movements occurring at the new signalized access to US Route 14.
The project includes the widening of US 14 to provide a southbound right-turn lane at the new three-lane Metra access.
