Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. was retained by the Glenview Park District to renovate the 106-acre golf course. The improved drainage throughout the course benefitted the surrounding residential homes and the playability of the golf course. Native plantings, Rain gardens and bioswales were added to enhance the stormwater management as well as the beauty of the course. The Park District entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Village contributing $2 Million dollars for the improvements. The stormwater detention was increased from 8 Ac-ft to 25 Ac-ft and greatly reduced drainage issues in the surrounding area.
