Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) provided civil engineering services for the Greater Libertyville Soccer Association for the conversion of their existing natural grass championship soccer field to a synthetic turf field.

The existing pervious grass was replaced by a stone porous stone underlayment system. Stormwater detention was modeled and required for the increased runoff resulting from the replacement of the topsoil with porous stone. The detention was routed to the existing detention basin which was constructed with surplus storage available for future improvements.
