Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) provided civil engineering, site development, and construction-phase services for the renovation of the Langendorf Park Pool and surrounding recreational facilities for the Barrington Park District.

The pool renovation included a complete reconstruction of the existing pool and deck, bathhouse improvements, and expanded lawn areas. Adjacent pedestrian and vehicular access improvements included a new drop-off drive, parking lot paving and resurfacing, and sidewalk enhancements for improved circulation and ADA accessibility.

The Pickleball and Platform Tennis improvements replaced the former skatepark and feature six pickleball courts, two platform tennis courts, and a clubhouse with restrooms and a warming hut. Site work included grading and drainage improvements, lighting, and fencing installation.

GHA’s engineering team provided stormwater management compliance, sanitary and water service extensions, permitting coordination, and preparation of construction documents.

Through the integration of modernized recreational amenities and enhanced site infrastructure, the Langendorf Park improvements provide a revitalized and sustainable community space for residents and visitors alike.
